Launching in development — first release planned for 2027
Engineered for real-world rope handling
Every detail is designed to enable the Spin&Stow method in demanding environments.
Compact handtool
Robust, lightweight and safe — designed for reliable performance and intuitive operation in demanding conditions.
Easy to use
Installed directly on a tensioned rope — the system creates controlled slack to enable quick and precise setup.
No load on the user
Removes both lifting force and reaction torque — the load is handled by the system, not the operator.
Use with any rope bag
Compatible with virtually any rope bag — simple, adaptable and ready for different setups.
Integrated safety clutch
Limits the transmitted force under excessive load — protecting both the user and the system during operation.
Working methods
RopeSpinner supports different working methods, adapting to the situation while maintaining a controlled and continuous workflow.
From the harness D-ring
In this working method, the user operates closer to the edge, typically resulting in lower rope friction and reduced system load.
However, the user remains in the load path between the RopeSpinner and the ground-based restraint. This can reduce comfort, as part of the rope load and reaction forces are transferred to the user.
From within the nacelle
Operating from inside the nacelle improves comfort and safety, keeping the user out of the load path. No hoisting load is transferred to the user.
This setup typically increases rope friction due to the longer rope path over surfaces — a load handled by the RopeSpinner.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about RopeSpinner and the Spin&Stow method.
What is Spin&Stow?
Spin&Stow is a method that combines hoisting and storing rope into one continuous, controlled process — enabled by RopeSpinner.
How does RopeSpinner work?
RopeSpinner is powered by a standard drill and attaches directly to the rope. It guides, drives and stores the rope in a controlled manner, enabling simultaneous hoisting and storage.
Does it work with all types of rope?
RopeSpinner is designed to work with a wide range of rope types used in rope access. Final specifications will be provided with the production model.
How is the RopeSpinner installed?
The device is mounted directly onto a tensioned rope. Controlled slack is created to enable quick and precise installation.
Is it safe to use?
RopeSpinner includes an integrated safety clutch that limits transmitted force under excessive load, helping to protect both the user and the system during operation.
Doe the user still experience load?
The RopeSpinner removes both lifting force and reaction torque from the user, allowing for controlled and low-effort operation.
Can I use my own rope and rope bag?
Yes. The RopeSpinner is compatible with virtually any rope and rope bag, allowing flexible use in different setups.
When will RopeSpinner be available?
RopeSpinner is currently in development. The first public introduction is planned for 2027.
Can I request a demo or participate in testing?
Yes. You can request early access, a demo or pilot participation through the contact form.
